GEMCO Medical, a division of GEMCORE, is a well-established and growing healthcare distribution company shipping over 15,000 packages a day with detailed accuracy, has an opening for a Inventory Control Supervisor. The Inventory Control Supervisor's main responsibility will be to manage the daily activities within our distribution center of a team of Warehouse Associates that pick, pack, and ship healthcare products and medical supplies. The Inventory Control Supervisor will also hold a key position in welcoming new employees and ensuring all Associates are engaged within the company culture.

  • Second shift opportunity with work schedule being Monday-Friday from 6:15 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily cycle counts, process into a computer database. Investigate inventory shortages and discrepancies.

  • Lead a cross-functional Receiving team by monitoring associate productivity and accuracy of completed work.

  • Record and monitor expiration dates on all inventoried products and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.

  • Monitor all return shipments from customers and ensure accuracy of returned product. If applicable, ensure the accuracy of restocking the product.

  • Develop and prepare reports that help decipher inventory problems and submit analysis on a regular basis.

  • Work with warehouse leadership in tracking inventory movement, quantities transferred between locations, and cycle count adjustments.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to reduce slow-moving inventory.

  • Administer all vendor returns from beginning to end.

  • Aid in organizing and maintaining warehouse bins for all stocked items, as well as establishing new processes and procedures.

  • Update and maintain item information in company databases.

Job requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Thorough working knowledge of inventory/purchasing policies and procedures.

  • Good organizational skills and a high attention to detail is required.

  • Complete knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.

  • Qualified candidates must have the ability and desire to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organizations.

  • At least 1-3 years in inventory control or materials management experience and a minimum of 3 years manager or supervisor experience.

  • Healthcare or consumer product experience preferred

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience and familiarity with using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

  • Must be computer literate and proficient with D365, GP, Brightree, MS Office and MS Excel.

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 75 pounds.

  • “Reach” truck experience a plus.
